Stunning views from the dining room, charming character, convenient parking availability
Water pressure in the showers leaves much to be desired!!! Small, cramped rooms could definitely use an upgrade in both space and decor!!!

Breakfast was top-notch, especially the Tuscan bread — a right treat! Plus, the room was quaint but comfy, with a no-frills electric shower that worked a charm. Fab location, too, with loads of pubs just a hop away.
A cheeky critique, the TV was awkwardly placed on a side table, so you had to crank your neck just to catch the show. Plus, a bit of soap for each sink would have been proper rather than the single dodgy bottle in the bathroom.

Charming Getaway with Scenic Views!
We enjoyed a delightful stay with stunning lake views from our room. The breakfast was a highlight, particularly the cooked options. For a cozy evening, the honesty bar offered a nice touch. If you’re in a rush, just check the flushing situation in the bathroom ahead of time!

great little hotel.
Had a lovely time in our twin room lake view. The room had a private bathroom, electric kettle, flat-screen TV, free toiletries, and heating. Breakfast was spot on with fresh fruits and a good range of cooked options. It's in a fantastic spot, just a short walk to town and overlooking the Pavilion Gardens.

Excellent location with beautiful views
I recently stayed in a lovely double room overlooking the park. The hotel’s location is fantastic, right across from the Pavilion Gardens, making it easy to explore Buxton. The breakfast was delightful, served with friendly smiles and included locally sourced ingredients, which really added to the experience. One thing to note is that the room could use a bit of modernization for an even more comfortable stay.

We had a fantastic time with friends! The hotel is in a prime spot, just a stroll away from the Pavilion Gardens and the Opera House. The breakfast was quick and had plenty of options. Great value for money, especially after a long day of exploring.
The TV in our room was minuscule and a bit old-fashioned. Thankfully, we weren't in the room much anyway.

Cozy stay by the lake!
Had a nice one-night stay. The room was clean and comfy. The view of the lake was super relaxing. Got to take a short walk into town too! Breakfast was decent, but the fried bread wasn't the best. Parking's a bit tight, especially if you have a bigger car. a chill spot.

I enjoyed my stay at The Westminster. The location is perfect, right next to Pavilion Gardens. This made for lovely morning walks. The staff greeted us with friendly smiles, making me feel welcome immediately. The room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent. I loved the full English spread every morning. the mattress could use replacing. It felt old and wasn't very comfortable, which affected my sleep. the bathroom had some maintenance issues, like a shower with weak water pressure. Parking was a bit tricky, especially with narrow spaces. a charming place with great food, but a few upgrades are needed for a complete experience.
